The Voice is only as good as its coaches, and this season just might be its best yet with new coaches Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani on board with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. They all have the chops and charisma to take their team to the finals, but I've got to say I'm on Team Pharrell. Not only is he an amazing singer, songwriter, and rapper, but he can also produce a hit single for you in his sleep. He's helped artists like Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, N'Sync, Britney Spears, Jay Z, Frank Ocean, Robin Thicke, Ed Sheeran, and even fellow coach Gwen Stefani score big so you can only imagine what he can do for the contestants on The Voice. When he says he can make things happen, you better believe it. Plus, dude just radiates happiness and a quiet confidence that's so refreshing for a guy as successful as him.
But don't take my word for it—here are some of his drop-the-mic moments on the show.
-
"I'm only going to push your ambitions, not mine." When Pharrell turns around for you, the only logical thing to do is pick him.
-
To a contestant: "Your voice (or was it tone?) is silk." Contestant: "You're silk—I mean your voice!" G i r l.

"Adam understands your voice, but Gwen understands your future." See, he helps out his boos!
-
"I don't know your story, but I feel like I get it when I turn around and see you expressing it in everything that you sing. Did you not have to fight all your life? Did you not just sing that onstage just now?" Did you not???
-
"I know what to do with that voice." Eight magic words.

When he broke it down with his new teammate.
-
While everyone was bribing a contestant with clothes and bags, he was all, "You're your own brand."
-
When Blake teased his choice of hats and he took it like a good sport.
-
When Blake couldn't handle him being a straight-up nice guy. His sunny disposition is so infectious that even Gwen wants to "hang out with him all the time"!
-
When he's so passionate about a contestant that he gets up on his feet to talk.
-
When he got real with Adam. I love Adam, but Pharrell speaks the truth in this case!
-
Once again, sorry, Adam, but Pharrell's counter poem is the shiz. (B-A-N-A-N-A-S!)
-
When he stole a contestant who was clearly on Team Blake even before the country singer opened his mouth by saying, "I've not heard anyone sing a song that's written with country intentions, but sung with a voice like yours. There's undiscovered real estate in that world, and I know a couple of things about mixing genres." Boom!
-
"I haven't even talked about my friends yet." Humblest brag of them all.
