Here’s another thing to look forward to, mga ka-Netflix: The sequel to The Kissing Booth starring Joey King, Jacob Elordi, and Joel Courtney is legit and its release is much closer than you think.
Joey King, who plays the main character Elle Evans, held a livestream on Netflix’s YouTube channel where she pieced together a huge puzzle version of the sequel’s poster which includes the release date (in case you’re wondering, it’s dropping on Netflix on July 24).
During the livestream, she also shared that she was an executive producer for the second movie and that Jacob and Joel will be reprising their roles. She also had various guests like Joel Courtney and newcomers Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez for a little chat about the films. While they didn't appear live, there were also special clips of Jacob Elordi, writer and director Vince Marcello, and Meganne Young who played Lee’s girlfriend Rachel.
Aside from the cast members, the livestream also showed special scenes that didn’t make it to actual movie, including a surprisingly touching moment between Elle and Lee’s girlfriend Rachel. You can watch the deleted scenes here:
The Kissing Booth is a film that follows the story of how highschooler Elle Evans ends up falling in love with the resident bad boy Noah, who happens to be her best friend Lee's brother. It's based on a novel of the same name written by Beth Reekles.
