If you've been scrolling through Twitter and TikTok these past few days, you might have come across an audio remix from one of the iconic scenes in the hit series The Broken Marriage Vow. In the scene, Dr. Jill Ilustre, played by Jodi Sta. Maria, finally *confronts* the family of her husband's mistress and drops the bomb on them.
In the audio remix, Jodi's character repeats lines from her iconic monologue as they are interspersed over Benny Benassi's electropop hit, "Satisfaction." The lines "Your daughter is sleeping with my husband" and "papunta pa lang tayo sa exciting part" have become widespread all over social media, and it's largely thanks to content creator AC Soriano.
On Easter Sunday, the 27-year-old content creator went on a half-hour Instagram Live, dubbed Jodi Sta. Maria: The Unauthorized Rusical. During the one-man show, he transformed into several of Jodi's most iconic characters, including Maya Dela Rosa in Be Careful With My Heart, Amor Powers in Pangako Sa'yo, Marissa Pineda in Ang Iyo Ay Akin, and finally, Dr. Jill Ilustre in The Broken Marriage Vow.Â
The "Rusical" racked as many as 12,000 viewers, including Jodi herself. The actress showed her approval throughout the show by commenting clapping emojis and praises for AC. "Ang effort nito," she wrote at one point during the IG Live.
AC's remix of the confrontation scene from The Broken Marriage Vow went viral, and multiple edits and variations made their way to social media platforms. Jodi herself would tweet her iconic line on Twitter!
Even Viu, the online streaming provider of the show, joined in on the fun and uploaded an edited clip of Jodi's character with the audio remix playing in the background. "SOTY 2022 (Your Daughter Remix)," they wrote in the caption. (ICYDK, SOTY stands for Song of the Year, one of the most prestigious awards in the Korean music industry.)
