1. "Bad Blood," Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar
We know it's really not ideal to write a song about your enemy, but we suppose it's alright to take a pass every now and then. In "Bad Blood," Tay-Tay was very vocal of a feud with someone she really won't name (reports say it's about a certain Katycat though). #SquadGoals is where it's at with Taylor teaming up with the rest of her friends in this star-studded music video. If there's one thing this song taught us aside from the fact that "Band-Aids don't fix bullet holes," it's that you should never mess with T-Swizzle. Like at all.
It's official. Justin Bieber just made apologizing cooler. As the second single to his latest album Purpose, The Biebs did some meta interpretation of saying sorry about some of his previous antics when he was younger. We can't help but be smitten with lyrics such as "Let me redeem myself tonight" (you surely can!) and that catchy chorus "Is it too late now to say sorry?" (Well it's not!) Don't worry, Justin, you're forgiven!
When Zayn left One Direction, it's a bit hard to know the direction (see what we did there?) of where the rest of the 1D boys are headed. But there's really nothing to worry about, because as proven by their ballad "Perfect," they went to a more mature sound but retaining that same, lovable 1D appeal. Who cares if this song was intended for someone else? We love it anyway!
4. "Hanap Hanap," James Reid and Nadine Lustre
The biggest advantage of the Jadine loveteam is that aside from bringing the ~*feels*~, both are talented singers as well. As part of James Reid's Reid Alert, this romantic duet of James and Nadine joins the list of their previous beloved collaborations "Bahala Na" and "No Erase" in the kilig department. We know you're probably singing to this as well every time it plays as a background song during the mushy moments on On the Wings of Love.
5. "Wish I May," Alden Richards
Others might not be aware of it but Alden Richards is a recording star too, and he has really good singing skills to boot. "Wish I May," the original lead composition from his current album of the same title, suits the sweet lullaby charming voice of our Pambasang Bae. Listening to the song actually makes it seem like he's personally serenading you. There's a reason why this ballad has stayed on top of the iTunes chart for quite some time, even beating songs from foreign acts.
Christmas is the season of love, and it doesn't get any bigger than this. Headlined by three of the most famous loveteams right now, the holiday season is the perfect moment to set aside those loveteam battles with JaDine, KathNiel, and LizQuen teaming up to sing the Christmas song of 2015. We're sure that not one person hasn't heard this song, as this has been played from malls to churches and even grocery stores. And for that, we say thank you for the love!
"Hello it's me..." are three words that perfectly suit the comeback of one our favorite artists. Four years since she dropped her album 21, Adele broke all records this year with her comeback single "Hello" from her latest album 25. There's a reason why Adele is the hottest artist right now and one whose appeal transcends different generations. The song gives us all the feels and makes us wonder how it feels like "from the other side."
