We're still reeling from that moment when Sunshine Cruz went on a trip down memory lane through a throwback pic taken when she was just 14 years old. In an interview with PEP.ph, the actress said that the photos she shared on Instagram were sent by her mother. "My mom just sent me my old photos kasi, kaya I shared some on social media," she said.
Check out the aforementioned photo below:
Do you see what we're seeing here? To state the obvious, she looks just like her 20-year-old daughter, Angelina Cruz! Even the comment section seems to agree.
"Nakaka flatter ang comments! Ang babait nila sa 'kin," Sunshine mentioned, referring to netizens who claim that she's a spitting image of her teenage daughters. "People say I look like my daughters, especially Angelina. Yes, I guess siya nga talaga ang pinakanakakahawig ko sa three girls."
Fellow celebrities, including Zsa Zsa Padilla, Vina Morales, Richard Juan, and Yam Concepcion, commented that Sunshine hasn't aged a day.
Reminiscing, Sunshine shared more about the photo: "Nakakatuwa lang na balikan at alalahanin. Isa sa masasayang panahon ng buhay ko yan. 14, very young, and dyan nagsimula ang maraming bagay for me. I was taught to be confident, to sing na maraming taong nanonood, and learned to dance and act. I also made lots of friends, and diyan nagsimula na nagkaroon ako ng sariling pera."
The photo was actually taken in 1991, a few days after Sunshine officially joined the now-defunct variety show That's Entertainment.
"Sa isang studio sa baba ng Broadway Centrum. Lahat ng members ng That's Entertainment were obliged to have their photo taken sa studio na yun. I forgot the name of that studio pero it's in Broadway Centrum," she recalled. "I just started joining That's Entertainment. I was 14 years old there. Very awkward and shy haha. I don't know how to smile pa nang hindi labas ang ngipin."
Sunshine has remained active in the entertainment industry for almost three decades now.
Aside from Angelina, she also has two other very lovely daughters named Samantha, 17, and Chesca, 15.
