No more crying, #TeamGoodBoy: It looks like our Ji Pyeong will have a *happy ending* in the Filipino adaptation of Start-Up!
ICYMI, GMA Network has acquired the rights to do a PH remake of the hit 2020 K-drama and it will be led by Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards.

Earlier this week, the cast of Start-Up PH had a story conference and script reading. According to Alden, the team behind the remake has already discussed the details of the series and the cast has also seen the filming locations. They're also "very excited" as much as we are for this project!

The event was attended by a number of Kapuso stars, including veteran actress and director, Gina Alajar. Out of all the characters, it's only her role that has been confirmed so far—she will be playing halmeoni or Mrs. Choi (Kim Hae Sook), the grandma of Dal Mi (Bae Suzy) who is also fond of Ji Pyeong (Kim Seon Ho).

Also in the script reading are Yasmien Kurdi, Jeric Gonzales, Royce Cabrera, and Dos Quizon. Kim Domingo is also part of the cast but she wasn't able to attend the event.

Although their roles are not yet revealed aside from Gina Alajar, K-drama fans *found* proof that our good boy is going to be Dal Mi's endgame in this adaptation! In the March 28 episode of 24 Oras, we saw a sneak peek of the lead stars' characters: Bea will portray Danica "Dani" Sison while Alden will transform into Tristan "Good Boy" Hernandez. Omo!

If you can remember, the OG Start-Up ended with Dal Mi and Do San (Nam Joo Hyuk) tying the knot and Ji Pyeong wasn't able to get the happiness he deserves. For the PH remake, our fingers are crossed and we're manifesting a ~better~ ending for him!

It's also worth noting that GMA's Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group, Lilybeth Rasonable, once said that they've prepared certain *surprises* in the PH remake and Start-Up fans are going to be thrilled. IDK about you but I'm soooo excited about this!

In other Hallyu-related news, Bea and Alden are also set to lead the Filipino adaptation of the iconic 2004 Korean movie, A Moment To Remember.
