In case you haven't caugh on the hype yet, a new Netflix show called Squid Game is taking over everyone's weekends. Squid Game is Korean series starring Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Wi Ha Joon, and Jung Ho Yeon and it follows the lives of 456 contestants who engage in a twisted series of children's games for a chance to win a huge sum of money.
One of the cast members that caught every viewer's eyes is rookie actress Jung Ho Yeon who plays the stoic, untrusting Kang Sae Byok. ICYDK, Jung Ho yeon is actually a top model and has walked Fashion Week runways all over the world. And even though Squid Game is her acting debut, many are effectively impressed by her performance in the series.
So much so that it's a delightful surprise for many fans to find out that Jung Ho Yeon actually seems to have a bubbly personality IRL! In case you need proof, Jung Ho Yeon was featured five years ago in a video series by Vogue called Beauty Secrets, and her upbeat personality shines all throughout the video. Apart from her flaunting her naturally modelesque features, Ho Yeon was all smiles as she shared her beauty routine as well as a few beauty tricks up her sleeves (which is quite different from the Jung Ho Yeon we saw on Squid Game). Suffice to say, fans under the comments section are wildly impressed that she could pull a 180 should her role require her to do so, pointing at a promising acting career for the model-actress.
In case you need ~more~ proof, The Swoon recently uploaded a video featuring the Squid Game cast playing a round of Guess This, and she's just as bubbly and fun to watch as her Vogue guesting. We can't wait to see more of her acting chops in the future!
