5 Shows We Used To Watch On Cable TV That Are Now Available Online

It'll be just like the good, old days-except now, you can watch it any time, anywhere.

Do you still remember the times when you’d get home from school and turn on the TV to watch shows through your family’s cable subscription? Good times, good times. Those were the days when online streaming services weren’t a thing yet. Now though, things have leveled up. With proper internet connection, we can now watch unli shows by streaming them—even on our phones.

Some of the shows we used to catch on cable TV at certain timeslots are now made available on various streaming sites like Viu or Netflix. If you’re up for a walk down memory lane, put these shows on again. It’ll be just like the good, old days—except now, you can watch it any time, anywhere (Hopefully, you’re staying put at home for the time being though!).

Glee

Glee was really popular among students for many reasons. It’s one of the few shows back then that made the uncool kids cool and showed almost true-to-life experiences of actual high school kids. The recreations and covers of songs are a huge plus, too.

Back when vampires were a huge thing in pop culture thanks to the Twilight movies, the TV series version of attractive blood-suckers that caught people’s attention was Vampire Diaries. At some point, you were probably switching between Team Damon and Team Stefan, weren’t you?

Totally Spies

This was one of the shows that first taught us about girl power. A trio of high school girls leading double lives as spies, casually owning laser lipsticks, and saving the world in style—we wish we were like them! It didn’t matter if you were the brainy one, the tomboy one, or the maarte one, these fictional ladies taught a generation that they can be exactly who they are and still kick ass.

Plenty of K-drama enthusiasts probably fell into the K-drama black hole through the Korean dramas being aired on cable TV. The Heirs is one such show, which featured the love story of a chaebol son and a hardworking student, played by Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, respectively.
