In a press conference held last August 2, MYX channel head Andre Allan Alvarez said that it’s time for Robi Domingo and Nel Gomez to “graduate” as MYX VJs. Their careers have blossomed since they started to become VJs and it’s now time to give the limelight to the newbies.

Robin Nievera, Ton Vergel de Dios, and Julz Savard are the three new VJs who won this year’s MYX VJ Search. They have started taping their own shows and shared their different stories during their first taping day. Robin confesses that he got intimidated by Ton because it only took him 10 minutes to finish his show while Robin lasted for almost an hour. Julz said that she felt anxious during the taping because she was working all by herself not like her co-VJs who taped their show together.

Ton thinks that being a MYX VJ will help him widen his appreciation for music and does not intend to promote his music or rock music alone. Julz said that her red hair trademark wasn’t intentional but if people remember her with that, she would keep it that way.  Robin’s new experience as a VJ is his stepping stone to establish a career in music.
