Richard Juan on Being This Country's Kim Soo Hyun
We thought we were the only ones who noticed, but the whole country actually did. Candy Cutie, SM Youth Ambassador, and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Richard Juan looks a lot like My Love from the Star actor Kim Soo Hyun!
See what we mean? They could be brothers!
At last month's #CandyTeenCon2016, we got the chance to chat for a few minutes with Richard backstage about this similarity and he gladly talked about it. He even revealed that he's actually auditioned for Soo Hyun's role for the Philippine TV remake that's set to be aired on GMA.
"Yeah, they've been saying that since 2014 when I was still starting! I actually went to the audition. Wala pang balita, but I'm super game to play [his role] and it would be a dream come true. It's a great honor to be compared to such a great actor. Ang galing-galing n'ya talagang umarte and I'm just a beginner, a newbie," he says. "But I've been taking workshops and I've been trying hard naman rin. Hopefully, it happens but if I don't get the role, it would be great if I could at least be part of [My Love from the Star] also because it's a beautiful show. I don't really watch telenovelas, pero ang ganda-ganda talaga nito. Again, it would be a great honor to be in it if ever and just to be compared to such a great person. I will try my best and give it my best to match his greatness."
We totally think Richard can pull off playing the character in the Philippine remake, and we can't help but cross our fingers that he gets the role. Good luck, Richard!
