We Kinda Always Knew Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati Were Meant to Be

ICYMI, last night, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati announced that they're engaged. They talked about their engagement story with Preview, and we couldn't help but get excited for these two. ♥

But then, we here at Candy got a major flashback! Somehow, we always knew they were meant to be. Why, you ask? Because in Richard's Candy cover story for the September 2002 issue, he talked about his ideal girl and, looking back, we realize that Sarah's that girl.

"Physically, I look for a girl with a sweet smile, nice eyes, and a sexy body," he said. "In terms of personality, I like girls who are thoughtful, caring, intelligent, and hindi boring kausap."

If you can still recall, Richard also revealed why she fell in love with his fiancée in an interview with ABS-CBN News and he said, "I fell in love with her. And sometimes you can't explain that, 'di ba. We just really get along. Kumbaga, click kaming dalawa. Kahit anong bagay napag-uusapan namin. We laugh at the same jokes. And Sarah's very passionate about life. She's very passionate about her craft as an artist."
