The Nguya Squad keeps in touch with each other regularly and occasionally shares pics of them hanging out on their respective social media accounts. Because of their frequent bonding moments, fans have begun to wonder if the squad has a new couple in Ria and Joshua. Ria, 29, and Joshua, 23, are coincidentally among the single members of the friend group at the moment, so it wasn't long until fans started speculating about whether or not they've recently coupled up, just like the rest of the squad.
In a recent guest appearance on Cinema One's Pop Cinema with Bianca Gonzalez and MJ Felipe, Ria addressed the speculations and revealed her reaction every time she comes across the dating rumors.
The dating rumors were brought up after Ria was asked to give one word that best describes Joshua (FYI, her answer was "gentleman!"). Ria explains that Joshua is just a super good friend, and that it's normal to have guy friends and be comfortable with them. But to set the record straight, Ria says that they're really just that--friends!
On how she reacts to the rumors, Ria shared that they actually just take it lightly and laugh about it. "It's actually something we super like, 'Uy, rumored boyfriend halika dito,'" Ria said. "We're friends, and it's funny. It's like, 'Seryoso, joke ba 'to?'"
Aside from clarifying that she's good friends with Joshua, Ria revealed that he's also close with her family and even celebrated Christmas with them. ICYDK, Joshua played the grandson if Ria's mom Sylvia Sanchez in the teleserye The Greatest Love. They are also set to work together in a new TV series called Viral.
