Some leave it up to karma, but there are those who take it upon themselves to avenge wrongdoings—like these characters from Korean drama series. Take, for example, Moon Dong Eun from the top-rating Netflix series The Glory. With thrilling confrontations that’ll have you at the edge of your seats, and well-executed and unexpected plot twists that’ll make your jaws drop—here are some dramas to watch out for if you’re in the mood for revenge.

The Glory

Of course, first on the list is the popular series The Glory, headlined by Song Hye Kyo who is a victim of bullying who’s been planning revenge on her school bullies for decades. The series is one of the revenge K-Dramas that took the world by storm, topping Netflix Philippines' own most-watch list. Everybody’s hooked on Moon Dong Eun’s satisfying revenge plan for those who made her high school life a living hell. The Glory has two seasons up on Netflix so you better start binge-watching if you haven’t yet.

A daughter who seeks vengeance for the death of her father is what Seo Ye Ji plays in the South Korean series Eve as Lee La El. My Name

“Revenge needs no name,” the series’ tagline says, but maybe it does—and it may sound like Yoon Ji Woo (played by Han So Hee) in the revenge action series My Name as she uncovers the reason for her father’s death. She is joined in the series by Ahn Bo Hyun, who plays detective Jeon Pil Do, her partner in the police department she infiltrates as a different person for the plan. There are drugs, gangs, cops, and a lot of fighting.

Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji team up as lawyers to fight for justice against a corrupt judge in Lawless Lawyer. Joon Gi’s character Bong Sang Pil is a former gangster-turned-lawyer who seeks revenge for his mother’s death and uses his connections and loopholes to achieve his goals. “I must first know the law to go against it”—words from Sang Pil himself.

Revenge of Others

Revenge of Others puts into the spotlight the issue of bullying and school violence through Ok Chan Mi (played by Shin Ye Eun) and her plan to seek revenge for her twin brother’s death, which was ruled out by suicide. Chan Mi believes otherwise. She crosses paths with the mysterious Ji Soo Heon (played by Lomon) with the common goal of seeking justice by making the perpetrators pay.

Taxi Driver

When he couldn’t get revenge on the person who killed his mother, Kim Do Gi (played by Lee Je Hoon), a Korea Military Academy graduate, helps people who have been wronged get revenge instead in the series Taxi Driver. He works for Rainbow Taxi Company, a company that offers a “revenge-call” service.

Avengers Social Club

Revenge brings three women—Lee Yo Won, Ra Mi Ran, and Myung Se Bin—and a young man played by Lee Jun Young together in the form of a “Bok Ja Club,” a group that aims to seek revenge for their personal reasons. One for her son, another for an abusive husband, and so much more. It’s an underrated gem that deserves to be on your watch list. We’re here for revenge, indeed.

Itaewon Class
