When Vice Ganda dropped the highlights of the “first beki star-studded” party on her YouTube channel on Sunday, our fave content creators on TikTok and YouTube uploaded snapshots of themselves on their socials, and we are here for it! As seen on Vice’s YouTube channel, they all had a ~main character~ moment during the red carpet segment at Okada Manila.

TikTok content creators Pipay and Gaia Poly both wore a Carla Cusa creation. Pipay looked beautiful in a pretty Very Peri tier tulle gown while Gaia Poly dazzled in purple. Pipay, known for her funny and savage content on TikTok, is also vocal on relevant issues on Twitter. Like Pipay, Gaia Poly also posts funny and relatable content on TikTok.

According to Vice, the idea of the acquaintance party came to be after seeing her friend’s IG post. Vice’s friend posed together with famous social media personalities, which got her inspired to meet the next generation of local queer content creators.

Vice also hosted the party in the hopes of closing the gap between old and new faces. In her speech, she said, “Andami dami natin ngayon, andami dami niyo ngayon pero hindi tayo magkakakilala lahat, and I don’t think it’s a good thing na we all belong to the same community, nakikita natin yung mga mukha natin sa mga telepono natin kapag pumupunta tayo ng Tiktok, ’pag nanonood tayo ng YouTube pero personally hindi tayo magkakakilala. I want to build a bridge to create a relationship amongst all of us.”

Vice delivered her intermission speech with an emphasis on a queer community that empowers each other. “Imbes na bukod sa kino-call out, why not start a community that helps one another? Why not start a community that helps and supports each other?"

ICYDK, the party was not the first time that Vice had shown support for queer content creators. In 2019, Vice invited the late YouTuber Lloyd Cadena to host her book launch. Vice also asked the whole Bakla ng Taon's participation during the launch.

She also has her confidence in young acts. Last December, Vice surprised everyone after attending the advanced screening to show her support for the MMFF entry, Love at First Stream. It featured rising artists Kaori Oinuma, Jeremiah Lisbo, Daniela Stranner, and Anthony Jennings. Vice continues to champion queer representation in the Philippine entertainment scene. She currently headlines the afternoon show, It's Showtime. Vice also won Best Entertainment Program Host at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021.
