Our Dream Cast for 5 of Your Favorite YA Novels

Who would you cast for these novels, Candy Girls?

  1. Eleanor and Park. The best selling novel by Rainbow Rowell is headed to the big screen and while we're still waiting for announcement on who will star in the adaptation, we're coming up with our own dream cast in our heads.

Slightly awkward and anxious teens in the '80s? We thought Sophie Turner can totes pull off Eleanor's character. Hey, she's doing a great job playing Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones. And we also think Ki Hong Lee can star opposite her as Park. When we watched The Maze Runner last year and laid eyes on this cutie, we were certain the world found its Park.

  2. Every Day. David Levithan's novel about a person living in a different body every day and falling in love with troubled Rhiannon gives us a wonderful and interesting film material. No news about adapting this one for the big screen yet, but we really hope some producer gives it a shot soon.

If you watched Stuck in Love, then you might have seen Liana Liberato's great portrayal of another troubled character, Kate. This character's close to how we've imagined Rhiannon to be on the big screen. For A, we can easily cast  every single young actor we know because he is changing bodies every day. But for the almost perfect guy she'll end up with, we'll give the role to Grant Gustin. That handsome good boy look will always, always win anyone.

  3. Anna and the French Kiss. Another book we desperately want to be turned into a movie is this super romantic novel by Stephanie Perkins, the first of the series of books of the same title. A movie set in Paris and a good love story is always a good idea, don't you think?

A young lady getting all upset because her dad ships her to boarding school in the romantic city of Paris, France sounds a bit familiar? We kind of recalled how Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect felt the exact same way towards her professor father when she was sent to college. Opposite her, we'd love to see Sam Claflin as that French guy with a cute English accent, Étienne St. Clair. By now, he surely has won your heart with his portrayal of Alex in Love, Rosie.

  4. A Werewolf Boy. Kim Mi Ri's novel has already been turned into a remarkable movie in 2012, which starred Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young. But if Hollywood decides to adapt this story about a girl falling for a boy with a beast inside him, we're giving a few suggestions on who they should cast.

We vote for Luca Pasqualino and Kaya Scodelario of Skins for this dream project. There's this mysterious vibe about Luca that's both charming and a little scary (perfect for those who are hiding the werewolf side in them!) and we saw how Kaya can take on the role of a brave young lady in The Maze Runner. Plus, we think an onscreen reunion for these two is necessary.

  5. Mission Impossible: Seducing Drake Palma. In this classic tale about a girl who's tasked to make a playboy fall in love with her by Ariesa Jane Domingo, we can think of a lot of actors who can be perfect for the roles of Alys and Drake. But our top choices...

Sofia Andres and Enrique Gil. Two things we love about these two: You can cast them as villain or bida and you can pair them with absolutely anyone. Since they're not bound to be with each other on TV (#LizQuen for Forevermore, yes?), we want to give this pairing a chance if ever in the film adaptation of this book.
