One Direction Wins Big At Their Very First Video Music Awards

Just two days ago, the boys of One Direction, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik were practicing their winning and losing faces with MTV Video Music Awards host, Kevin Hart. And now? They brought home not one, but three Moonmen! We couldn't be prouder of our September cover boys.
They won three awards (Best Pop Video, Best New Artist, and Most Share-Worthy Video) for their music video, "What Makes You Beautiful," beating the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Wanted, Beyonce, and Gotye.
They also performed one of their hits, "One Thing" for thousands of screaming Directioners. Totally not a bad experience for the VMA first-timers.
Can't get enough of the lads? Be sure to grab a copy of the Up All Night Souvenir Edition on September 16 at the SM North Sky Dome and SM Megamall. The Souvenir Edition includes 5 exclusive tracks, 32-page booklet, 5 photocards plus a special message for Directioners.
