It's been a while since several names have been mentioned for consideration to be the next Darna. No word has been given out on who'll be playing it next after Angel Locsin had to cancel for health reasons. But now, we're finally getting some clue!
Ogie Diaz, Liza Soberano's manager, confirmed that the actress was considered for the role. Wait, what??? Yes, Candy Girls, you read that right! In an interview with the press, Ogie confirmed this information. (via ABS-CBN.com)
"Isa siya sa mga choices. Itong Darna, superhero, maraming may gustong gumanap pa ring Darna. Imagine-in mo 'yung history ng mga gumanap na Darna, like si ate Vi (Vilma Santos)," Ogie explained.
The best part? Ogie said that they're going to accept it if ever she's offered the role!
"So kung si Liza ang mapipili for the role, siyempre tatanggapin namin 'yun."
