Despite coming from rival networks, Darren Espanto and Cassy Legaspi have been caught up in dating rumors for several months now. Still, the two continue to insist that they are currently enjoying each other's company as close friends.Â

"Si Cassy 'yung isa sa mga tao na tinatakbuhan ko kapag medyo down po ako or when I need someone to talk to. She's always there, she's a great listener, and she's a great person to ask advice for," Darren shared in his latest guesting on Magandang Buhay, where he was asked about his recent trip to San Francisco with Cassy.
He also added, "Ang bilis niya pong makapag-lighten ng mood 'pag dating sa'kin, so I'm really just grateful to have a friend like her." Awwww, that's so sweet!Â
Although many fans can't help but feel kilig upon hearing statements like this, Darren clarified that he and Cassy are not officially dating yet. After all, they don't want to rush their relationship: "Cass and I are always very honest when people ask us. There's nothing official happening or anything."Â
"We're just enjoying each other's time and we're not rushing into anything talaga," Darren concluded.Â
A day before this interview, Cassy posted a sweet birthday message for Darren on Instagram. "Thank you for sticking with me through it all and most importantly thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for always taking care of me and for feeding me (no cause literally…) and for always letting my parents/team know that I’m in good hands," she penned alongside a carousel of their cutest photos together.Â
