Twilight fans, rise! The highly-awaited Twilight installment called Midnight Sun finally has a release date. Author Stephenie Meyer announced on her official website that the book is set to be released on August 4, 2020. Midnight Sun will be a retelling of the Twilight plot, only this time, it’ll be told from Edward Cullen’s perspective. Nakaka-excite!
In 2008, a partial draft of Midnight Sun had been leaked online, which led Meyer to postpone the project indefinitely. She later on shared the partial draft to readers on her website so they can access it legally. Twelve years later, the book finally has an official release date!
“I hope this announcement doesn’t seem ill-timed; I really considered delaying the release until the world was back to normal,” Stephenie shares. “I don’t know how everyone else is coping, but right now books are my main solace and happiest escape. So, I hope this announcement gave you some pleasure and something fun to look forward to.”
