You might already know that New Era University (NEU) was established to provide the educational needs of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) members. Despite the university being run by the Christian religious movement, it has remained non-sectarian as they keep their doors open to non-INC members as well. The university is also renowned for providing quality education as their alumni have excelled in various industries and licensure examinations. Case in point: 103 of NEU-College of Law alumni have also successfully passed the 2020-21 bar examination.

So if you’re an aspiring Eranian, here’s everything you need to consider about the university:

History of NEU

Starting as a high school on June 17, 1975, New Era Educational Institute (NEEI) was originally located in Echague (now known as Carlos Palanca Street), Quiapo, Manila. Upon satisfactory completion of the requirements of the Corporation Law, it was declared as a private, non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian educational institution in 1977.

Nine years after the inauguration of NEC’s permanent building in New Era, Quezon City, the college was granted ‘University’ status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in 1995. Thus, adopting the name, New Era University.
