It's never too late to find your purpose in new, unfamiliar things. Just like the 70-year-old widower in The Intern who decides to apply for an internship at a startup fashion company, you'll find something that's meaningful to you and thrive in your chosen field regardless of how old you are. No rush!
La La Land
Sometimes, you already know what you want, you're just having doubts about it because the road to it isn't exactly the easiest. Just like Mia in La La Land, however, it will take a couple of failed auditions and flopped one-woman plays before you score that big win. You just have to be persistent enough to keep going.
To All the Boys: Always and Forever
What happens when you find out that you did not get into your dream school for college? While TATB is primarily dubbed as a rom-com especially since LJ and Peter K are many people's OTP, the third installment of the movie series also holds a very important lesson for incoming college students. It's not the end of the world if you don't get accepted into the college of your choice. Sometimes, it's one way of life showing you that there's something that's better suited for you out there, you just have to be open enough to give it a try.Â
Misaeng: Incomplete Life
Misaeng has gotten positive reception when it first came out. Based on a webtoon of the same name, this K-drama follows the life of a baduk (an Asian board game) master who, one day, loses an important match and finds himself having to enter the corporate life to earn a living despite not having any college credentials. From being highly revered in his field to being forced to enter an industry he doesn't have experience for, this K-drama can show you that making the most out of your situation can help you discover other things you're good at.
The Bold Type
The three strong, independent protagonists of the show prove that your twenties are the perfect period to try on as many hats as you want to find out what you're truly cut out for. There's Jane, who finally lands her dream job but ends up jobless and struggling with freelance stints for a while. There's Sutton, a fashionista at heart who went from being an assistant to trying out styling and even fashion design. Then there's Kat, a powerhouse social media director who runs for public office in an effort to contribute to the community.Â
