It's here! It's here! Our first look at the characters of the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is finally here!
JK Rowling revealed the first photos from the new Potter project on Pottermore recently, and we're really excited. We just wish we can watch it here, too. The author shared portraits of Harry, Ginny, and Albus along with a few lines to tease us. Ugh, this is torture, you guys!
Actor Jamie Parker transformed into Harry, and JK Rowling describes the transformation in these words: "He simply is Harry now. There's a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right."
Poppy Miller plays Ginny Weasly, who as JK described is "kind and cool, exactly as I imagined her," someone people would like to have as a mom.
And finally, here's Sam Clemmett as Albus. What do we know so far about him? "There's much I could say about Sam-as-Albus, but we'd be into spoiler territory so quickly I'll just say we couldn't have cast better," JK said. Oh well, guess we just all have to wait then.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is scheduled to open on July 30 at the Palace Theatre in London. It is based on the story written by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany.
