On June 17, a few days before we officially bid goodbye to Gemini season, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto celebrates his 31st birthday. Like most of the people who's had to celebrate their birthdays during the quarantine period, Mayor Vico had to commemorate his special day under different circumstances.Â
For one, he reminded everyone that the COVID-19 threat is still very much alive, advising the people close to him to refrain from throwing a "surprise party" for him. "Hindi naman ako mahilig sa party at mas mahalaga pa rito, bawal pa ang mga gathering.. buhay na buhay pa si Covid mga kaibigan!" he says in a tweet.
Of course, that doesn't mean he's not into birthday traditions. If people feel the need to send him gifts, the mayor has a special request: "Sa mga nagtatanong kung ano ang gusto kong regalo, bumili na lang po kayo ng grocery foodpack at ipamigay sa nangangailangan."
If you wish to donate a grocery food pack for those in need, Mayor Vico says you may drop them off at his office.
