Kapuso stars Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara have been making us feel kilig over their projects as a love team. While the two celebs are yet to confirm their relationship status IRL, however, we can’t help but notice their undeniable chemistry on and off screen.
It seems like we aren’t the only ones who do! In fact, the two recently opened up about how they *knew* that what they have was more than just mere ~friendship~.
“'Yung first time na na-realize ko na hindi lang kaibigan si Kyline para sa'kin is 'yung nagiging close na tayo sa AOS [All Out Sundays],” Mavy shares in the latest episode of their video podcast, MavLine on Me. “There was a time na talagang kami ni Ky, medyo awkward nung una. But after that mas nagiging close [at] nag ha-heart to heart [talk] na.”
The two became inseparable and would open up to each other about their struggles. “You [Kyline] always open up to me about everything. As in everything. During those times mas na-realize ko na ‘I really want to protect this girl’,” Mavy continued. “Iba na talaga 'yung feeling. Hindi 'yung protect her as my friend, iba na 'yung pagmamahal ko sa kanya na I don't want anyone to ever hurt her again.” Aww!
Mavy admits that whenever Kyline gets hurt, he feels the same way too. “Pag may mga issue ka, nahu-hurt din ako, two times, three times for you. If you're going through something, nahu-hurt din ako.”
Remember that ~cliche~ slow-mo moment we would often hear about in fairytales? Yup, the actor also reveals that his heart races whenever he sees Kyline. Isn't that just *so* adorable?
“Pag nakikita kita every time we have work, nagso-slow-mo ka [...] Madalas siya nangyayari sa stage 'pag [pumapasok] ka, 'yan 'yung slow mo moment ko. At nasasabi kong, 'Shocks, tumitibok na yung puso ko.’”
