Being a parent is no easy task at all, and it's even harder when that huge responsibility is thrust at you at a young age. Markus Paterson was only 22 years old when his partner Janella Salvador gave birth to their baby boy, Jude, in 2020.
After nearly two years of being a parent, the Gen Z actor recently opened up during his Maalala Mo Kaya media conference about how his life has changed since his son came along.
"Becoming a father at 22, 23, I guess you could say I sacrificed all the necessary sacrifices," he noted, saying that he "gave up" all the usual things that guys his age would normally do.
"Lahat ng mga bisyo, everything that 22, 23-year-olds do. Guys, we go out, we party. Lahat ng mga ganung sakripisyo na kinailangan talaga and it wasn’t even a hard thing to do."
According to him, however, these sacrifices came *natural* to him. "All the necessary sacrifices of becoming a young father, I embraced," he said.
The now 24-year-old Filipino-British actor also revealed that he had no regrets about becoming a parent at such a young age.
"Worth it definitely. As soon as I saw him in that delivery room, my life flipped upside down talaga. No regrets," he divulged.
His partner Janella gave birth to their son Jude in England last October 20, 2020. He was *officially* revealed to the public in a YouTube video titled, Hey Jude, on January 5, 2021, which documented the young couple's pregnancy journey leading up to Jude's birth.
