After the successful launch of the first season, Love Alarm is about to give us a ~fresh~ start as the story will begin four years later, when the application has launched its new feature wherein users can see the people who could potentially like them in the future. The characters have also already graduated from high school and are now in their adulthood.
“They were in season one, but the characters have been developed further to show how they changed,” Kim So Hyun (Kim Jo Jo) stated in a behind-the-scenes video released by Netflix Asia.
The director of the drama, Kim Jin-U, also mentioned that the second season wants to give the audience stories that they were not able to tell during the first season. He also wants the audience to expect more mature romance from the drama.
The trailer of the second season was released on February 26, and it already looks like we are going to experience high levels of second lead syndrome after watching the drama. In the sneak peek, Kim Jo Jo appears to be in a relationship with Hye-young but later says that “I thought hiding my feelings was the best for me, but I am affecting Hye Yeong and Sun Oh’s hearts."
The trailer ended with Kim Jo Jo leaving us hanging with the question, “Who do I like?”
Can't wait to find out!
Love Alarm season two premieres on Netflix on March 12.
