Sometimes, we have our own career paths in mind, but life has a way of taking us through some detours. The courses we decide to take in college don't always mean it's the field we're pursuing professionally for the rest of our lives. The same can also be said for our favorite celebrities. 

These stars were also college students who had a career goal in mind that's quite different from what they're pursuing now (And it seems it all worked out for the better anyway!).

Maris Racal

Maris is currently busy with her acting and music projects. Before pursuing showbiz full-time, Maris took up Medical Technology at Trinity University of Asia and originally planned on pursuing a career in the medical field.

Pia Wurtzbach

In college, the 2015 Miss Universe took up culinary arts. Aside from being a full-fledged celebrity, Pia also serves as an ambassador for UNAIDS and WWF.
