In a vlog released on May 27, Liza Soberano’s current talent manager, Ogie Diaz, revealed that the 24-year-old actress will be managed by James Reid and his team after her contract expires on May 31.
When asked if she will still renew her contract, Liza kindly declined and admitted that she has plans to *pursue* a career in Hollywood.
"Ipinakilala na niya sa amin ang bagong team na hahawak ng kanyang career. May bago na siyang management. Pero ako naman kumbaga 'yung transition ay unti-unti ipinapasa na namin si Liza sa kanya at 'yun ay walang iba kung hindi ang team ni James Reid,” Ogie shared.
The two artists were recently seen in Los Angeles, California representing the Philippines in the 1st Annual Gold Gala of the Gold House, an event that honors the most influential Asian and Pacific Islanders.
"Yes, as a manager si James Reid. Kaya pansinin mo magkasama sila sa gala. HIndi lang si James ang kasama ni Liza kung hindi 'yung mga ka-partners nila. Kasi mayroon silang business group at kasama roon si Liza. Tapos at the same time 'yun na rin ang magha-handle ng kanyang career... career sa US at sa Pilipinas," Ogie explained.
He also cleared rumors about LizQuen not having projects as the reason for the end of their contract. “Marami talagang inilalatag sa kanila, sa LizQuen, kaya lang nga hindi pa rin nila gusto mag-work kasi takot pa rin sila sa pandemya", he said.
