Teen star Liza Soberano turns 19 today!

The Dolce Amore actress will be entering her last teen year today, and she's doing that with a bang with the help of the people who love her—her family, her friends, and her fans. When Liza's name is mentioned, the first thing that probably comes to your mind is her timeless beauty, but there's actually more to Liza than that. She has proven time and again that it's not all about her looks; she has a beautiful heart, too. Proof? The touching things she says and does which make us love her even more.

  1. She has a soft spot for children.

Liza took some time off her busy schedule to read the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears for the kids of Chosen Children Village Foundation, and even surprised a lucky child. "I like surprising children, especially children with specific needs, because they deserve it. I think it's something that they will remember and take with them for a lifetime. I just hope they enjoyed this day," she said at the event. (via PEP.ph

  1. She lives up to her style and knows what she truly wants.

"Basically I just wear anything I feel comfortable in. I don't like wearing things I don't feel confident in because one of the most important things for me is to be conservative," she tells PEP.ph. "I don't like showing too much skin, as you can see. Showing a touch of skin is okay so that they could see how beautiful your skin is, but not too much. I'm still young. I'm just 16; I like to preserve my youth."

  1. She's a good daughter above all.

  1. She knows how to deal with bashers with class.

Last year, one Twitter user commented on why Liza was a no-show during the premiere night of Enrique Gil's movie Dukot. Instead of losing her temper, the actress replied politely to the user and explained her side.

  1. She knows what's truly important in life.

And that's not being physically beautiful. In her interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda, the actress explains why people telling her she's beautiful doesn't get in her head. She doesn't even believe that she is her definition of beauty. "I appreciate it, pero minsan feeling ko 'yun lang 'yung nakikita [nila], e. I don't want it to be like that," she tells Boy Abunda. "I don't want them to remember me because I'm pretty."
