Attention, literary buffs! In celebration of the release of the new movie adaptation of the classic story Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, Emma Watson (who plays Meg March in the film) teamed up with the organization The Book Fairies for a special treat to fans.
The Book Fairies will be hiding 2,000 book copies of Little Women in 38 countries, and yes, that includes the Philippines! According to Emma’s post on Instagram, each copy will have a “special note” inside from the actress herself.
Each book to be hidden will be different, as the organization will be hiding different copies from 122 editions. Other countries included in the campaign include Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and more. There’s no announcement yet about where exactly the book drops will happen in the country, but keep your eyes peeled and follow the hashtag #LWBookFairies for the hints!
Little Women is directed by Greta Gerwig and stars Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen. The movie is set to come out in Philippine cinemas on January 15, 2020.
