Is a 1D reunion in the works?

We got a whole lot of ~history~ going on if we’re talking about British boyband One Direction.

In his YouTube channel, former 1D member Liam Payne is taking us back to the early 2010s as he talks about working with bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik.

He also reveals some fun facts from their video shoots.

The video now has over one million views as of writing. Here are some of the highlights:

1D Video Diaries

During their X Factor days, the 1D boys began to grow their following through their weekly vlogs. There, they engaged in fan Q&As and goofed around like kids. Liam recounted one episode where they all decided to wear onesies. "We got in so much trouble from the stylist of the show," he says.

“Best Song Ever”

Liam had loads of fun shooting their “Best Song Ever” music video. If you need a refresher, this video made the 1D boys wear the most absurd disguises. Liam is still in awe of how Zayn looked totally different in a sexy secretary costume. Same, Liam. Same.

“Night Changes”

Here’s the video where our hopes of going out on a date with one of the 1D boys somehow came true. Liam thought it was awkward to shoot and interact with the camera when they made the “Night Changes” music video. As he was re-watching the part where Harry was being charming on the ice-skating rink, Liam declares “I thoroughly believed that I’m Harry’s girlfriend right now.” Wow, it’s like Liam knows my current relationship status. “Drag Me Down”

This is 1D’s first music video as a four-piece boyband. Sigh! But Liam was so psyched to do it because they were going to NASA and he thinks some of the spacesuits they put on were already worn by real astronauts. How cool is that?

“History”

Prepare your tissues because this music video is the flashback of all flashbacks. “History” is 1D’s last music video before they went on hiatus in 2016. “The crazy thing about filming this video, we knew what was going to happen next with the band,” Liam recalls. He described the moment as “quite emotional” which we could all relate to as hardcore 1D fans who saw their fun, exciting journey as a boyband.

The music video featured some behind-the-scene footages of 1D random moments like plotting their escape from doing actual work. Liam reveals, “When we didn’t write or wanna go somewhere, and we have so many things to do, we just have a codeword where we’d all just fall on the floor and lie down until everyone went away which I think is the best game we’d ever invented.”

He also revealed his near-death encounters like riding the truck in “Live While We’re Young” and almost falling from a hotel luggage trolley in “Perfect” because of Louis’ mischievous tricks. “The thing about Louis was he tried to break something in every single music video we were doing,” Liam shares. Ahh, we really miss seeing the boys together!
