Lee Shin Young currently plays Staff Sergeant Park Kwang Beom (aka Captain Ri's most *handsome* soldier) in the hit drama Crash Landing On You. He's captured our hearts ever since CLOY aired in December 2019, and it looks like he's also caught the eyes of major drama producers!

According to Soompi, the 22-year-old newbie actor will be starring in a high school drama called Contract Friendship, alongside Kim So Hye.

Soompi describes the new drama as such:

"Contract Friendship (working title) is based on a webtoon of the same name and tells the story of high school students Chan Hong and Don Hyuk, who lead totally different lives. Kim So Hye will be playing the role of senior high school student Uhm Se Yoon, who is the most popular girl at school and has a crush on Chan Hong."

And, yup, our dear Shin Young will play the lead role of Chan Hong!

Shin Young's star is definitely on the rise with projects popping up left and right. He was most recently featured on the February issue of Dazed Korea where he talked about wanting to be an actor who'll have "a positive influence on others."
