Rookie actor + everyone's favorite Hotel Del Luna *firefly* Lee Do Hyun will be starring in his first-ever drama! What makes things more exciting is that according to Soompi, the show will be a Korean adaptation of Zac Efron's hit movie, 17 Again.
The 2009 film told the story of Mike (Zac), a high school basketball player and heartthrob who was ~destined for greatness~. However, two decades later, Mike has a dead-end job, he's getting divorced, and he doesn't have a good relationship with his two kids. When Mike is suddenly transformed back into his 17-year-old self, he's given the chance to correct his mistakes.
In the remake entitled 18 Again, the older version of Do Hyun will be played by veteran actor Yoon Sang Hyun (Matthew Perry in the American film). 18 Again will be directed by Ha Byung Hoon. He previously worked on Go Back Couple (2017), a drama about a couple who find themselves transported back to their university days.
In 2019, Do Hyun played the role of Chung Myung in Hotel Del Luna. Chung Myung is leading lady Man Wol's (IU) first love, and the reason why she still hasn't left the human world. ***Spoiler Alert*** In later episodes of the drama, it is revealed that Chung Myung never left her side and has remained as a firefly for hundreds of years!
