Lauren Young experienced intense bashing from DJ Loonyo fans after airing her *unfiltered* opinion on the social media personality's comments about face masks in a viral tweet.
She posted about it on her Twitter account on June 4.
Her caption read: "WAAAH GONNA CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP IM SO SCARED OMG MY CAREER IS OVER OMG WHO AM I OH NOOOOO"
She also wrote to some commenters: "HAHAHA THEY REALLY THINK IM SCARED OR GIVE A FUCK NOH HAHHA"
She also shared more examples of comments she received in a following post on June 6.
Some comments Lauren posted included “Laos ka naman.”
To which she responded with, “HINDI KO PO GUSTO SUMIKAT.
“I act because it pays my bills not because I crave for your fucking approval."
Someone also implied that she would be better off keeping quiet, “Artista ka pa naman,” read the post. Lauren responded with, “So magbabait baitan ako? Wala akong opinyon dapat?”
And as for the comment:, “Di ka jojowain niyan”
Lauren gave this reaction: “THANK GOD!!! Porket babae ako crush ko siya? ASA KAYO.”
“BODY SHAMING IS SO 2019”
Some weren't satisfied with those comments and resorted to body shaming the actress..
But the 26-year-old star didn't hold back, “Oo mataba ako! Ano ngayon???
"Did I make statements that could possibly influence my followers to think the wrong way because I had incorrect information while oozing with confidence?
“NO. Tse. Kainin ko kayo eh.”
To Lauren, giving unsolicited comments about a person's body is a thing of the past.
“Body shaming is so 2019," Lauren wrote.
"Read a fucking book and grow up people.”
Lauren's tweet made headlines when she criticized DJ Loonyo's statements in a video where he was seen questioning the government-issued COVID-19 preventive measure of wearing a face mask (sometimes for long periods of time). “Itong mask na ‘to, ang daming tanong sa utak ko, like, ano ba talaga yung tamang gawin?
“Walang makakasagot. Ikaw lang talaga.
“Pero sang-ayon ako dun na the more you wear the mask, na nakaganun parati,” gesturing to a covered face...
“Kumbaga, parang ini-inhale mo yung sarili mong utot.”
He also added, “Kaya mo nga nilalabas yun, e, kaya mo nga nilalabas yun kasi hindi kailangan ng katawan mo yun.”
Lauren's tweet read, “Omg i just saw this!! Ang bobo shet ang bobo. Flatearther ka rin ba koyah??”
DJ Loonyo is yet to issue a comment on Lauren Young's tweet.
Many others also criticized the choreographer for spreading misinformation while talking about mass testing. DJ Loonyo has since issued a public apology on his Twitter account.
