Kyline Alcantara Believes That It's Totally Okay for Girls to Make the First Move

Earlier this year, Mavy Legaspi divulged in an interview that he made the first move in his relationship with his love team partner Kyline Alcantara. While the two haven't directly confirmed their official relationship status since then, they recently shared their thoughts on how to best ~shoot your shot~ in a relationship.

During the latest episode of their Spotify podcast MavLine on Me with Mavy and Kyline, Kyline revealed that it's completely normal to feel apprehensive around your crush at first. At the same time, though, she also believes that it's completely okay for girls to initiate the first move!

"May mga tao na nahiya talaga. May mga tao na pinalaki sila na mahiyain sila, ganyan," she shared. Kyline then quickly added, "Actually, marami akong nakitang interviews ng couples [na] hindi 'yung guy nag-first move. Usually, lalaki talaga! But in this generation—in our generation—it's okay if babae 'yung nag-first move."

We totally agree with Kyline regarding that progressive stance! Regardless of what traditional social conventions may state, there's absolutely nothing wrong with girls taking the first step in a relationship.

Kyline also admitted that she herself used to be afraid of pursuing a relationship. "May thinking ako before na ayokong makipag-hangout every single day kasi baka magsawa siya. May mga tao rin na ganoon," she shared.

Fortunately, she built up her confidence over the years and learned to simply be honest during the courting stage. "How do I shoot my shot? Just completely being myself," she said with a smile.

"Pero kasi, ako, never pa ako nag-first move before, ngayon na lang," Kyline clarified, implicitly referring to her current bond with Mavy. "Ako kasi, in-open ko na talaga 'yung sarili ko. Naging vulnerable ako sa tao na 'yun kasi feeling ko it's [a] now or never type of thing."

"Luckily, that person accepted me after niya mag-push and pull trick—technique, sorry," she said half-jokingly, laughing with Mavy.
