If you're a fan of both the local entertainment industry and Hallyu (especially K-dramas!), then you might be familiar with actress and YouTuber Kristel Fulgar. Even though she's a celebrity, Kristel's fangirl tendencies when it comes to K-dramas is highly relatable. The content she makes is also entertaining and relatable for Hallyu fans like her.

She was a part of Goin’ Bulilit.

Kristel is only 26 years old, but can you believe she’s been in the entertainment industry for around 17 years already? That’s because she started out pretty young. One of her most notable appearances on TV was on the children’s comedy program Goin’ Bulilit. Her other notable TV roles include kontrabida characters in Maria Floredeluna, Mula Sa Puso, and Got To Believe

Kristel is a huge fan of Hallyu.

Kristel is a huge fan of K-dramas. Her favorite actresses are Jun Ji Hyun, Jung So Min, Kim Tae Hee, and Song Hye Kyo. She's also been to Korea several times and has visited various tourist hotspots there like Jeju, Seoul, and Incheon!

She knows how to speak Korean.

Because K-drama is life for Kristel, she decided to learn the language to make watching her favorite shows a little easier. She learned on her own by paying close attention to K-drama dialogues and eagerly translating the common Korean phrases she hears in the shows so she can understand them better. Kristel also practices speaking and conversing in the language with her Korean friends.

She wrote and directed a web miniseries.

Co-starring Benedict Cua, Kristel starred in, wrote, and directed an online series called "Luv Express," which is inspired by one of her earlier YouTube videos called "U-Belt UV." The video, starring Benedict and Kristel, is a short skit about two students sharing kilig moments during a ride in a UV Express.

The video and their chemistry together received a positive response from the audience that they decided to create a spin-off from it. All 12 episodes of the "Luv Express" are now up on the One Click TV YouTube channel in case you want to check it out! The series finale just dropped on January 15, 2021 so it's not yet too late to catch up.   

Fans love her friendship with "Big Boss."

You might have seen a certain "Big Boss" several times on Kristel's YouTube and social media channels. Big Boss, aka Yohan Kim, is actually the CEO of Korean skincare brand Face Republic and they met in 2018 when Kristel, among other influencers, got invited to a trip to South Korea to promote and check out the brand.

Fans loved their chemistry so much and have asked for more content from the two. In 2020, they shared a highly requested song cover of a Crash Landing On You OST. They're also supportive of each other's careers, with Yohan attending Kristel's movie premieres and Kristel promoting and supporting Yohan's business endeavors.

She has two YouTube channels.

In case you didn't know, Kristel actually has two separate YouTube channels. One is her official channel "Kristel Fulgar" where she posts her song covers and other music-related videos. The other is the channel "KrisTells Vlogs" where she posts her travel escapades and other personal, unfiltered ganap in life. She has 1.24 million subscribers in her first channel and almost 2 million subscribers in her second!

She was able to buy her second car using her YT earnings.

Speaking of her flourishing YouTube career, Kristel was able to invest her YouTube earnings into building her new house. Aside from that, she was also able to buy her second car, which she shared on social media. Kristel also showed her gratitude towards every subscriber she's had on her channels for being part of the reason she received so many blessings in life. "Bawat subscriber ko at bawat nanonood ng mga videos ko ay part ng success ng career ko. Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo. Isa kayo sa mga nagpapatatag sa akin," Kristel shares.
