ICYDK: PETA's "Walang Aray" musical enjoyed a hugely successful opening night last February 17, 2023. Hundreds of fans flocked to the PETA Theater Center to see Gen Z love team KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad (KDLex) take on the lead roles of Tenyong and Julia, respectively.Â

"Walang Aray" by Rody Vera is a contemporary reimagination of Severino Reyes’ classic zarzuela, “Walang Sugat," set during the Spanish rule in the Philippines with two young lovers fighting for their relationship in the midst of it. Given its ~*modern*~ take on the zarzuela, the show offers tongue-in-cheek humor interspersed between entertaining musical numbers, which makes for an entertaining watch!
The show will run from February 17 all the way to May 14, so make sure to grab your tickets while you still can! In case you didn't know, KD and Alexa have committed to performing in 12 out of the 40 shows, so on the dates when the Gen Z love team won't perform, the second and third pairs for Julia and Tenyong will be played by Marynor Madamesila and Gio Gahol and Shaira Opsimar and Jon Abella respectively.
