K-pop idols are known for their killer dance moves, impressive vocals, and unparalleled stage presence. It's a tough job that requires intensive and constant training that makes it impossible to squeeze in other activities in their schedules. But for many of K-pop stars, formal education is also a priority. Below, we list down a few K-pop idols who attended college as well as the courses they majored in.

Girl's Day's Sojin

It's been reported that this K-pop idol took up Mechanical Engineering at Yeungnam University. On the South Korean show Problematic Men, Sojin shared more about her college experience, saying, "Among 1,000 Mechanical Engineering majors, there were only eight women. We were treated with a lot of admiration.”

BTS' Jin

The oldest member of global group BTS graduated with a degree in Art and Acting from Konkuk University. He wasn't able to attend his actual graduation ceremony due to his busy schedule, so he decided to have his own mini commencement exercise with his members and fans instead.

Eric Nam

Eric Nam graduated with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Asian Studies at Boston College. Right after graduation, the K-pop star landed a job at Deloitte but decided to defer his start. He later on got an opportunity to become a K-pop artist and went on to pursue a career in the entertainment industry instead.

2NE1's Minzy

Minzy, a former member of K-pop girl group 2NE1 and the group's youngest, took up Theology at Baekseok University. She graduated in 2018.

Day 6's Jae

In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, Day6 member Jae talked about taking up Political Science in college before ultimately pursuing a different career path.

Day6's Young K

Young K of Day6 attended Dongguk University where he took up Business Administration. He graduated in 2018.
