10 K-Drama Pairings You Would Love To See In The Future

When we’re not busy shipping ourselves with our favorite K-drama actors (Aminin!), we’re probably busy feeling kilig over their chemistry with their on-screen partners. Lots of K-dramas have given us lovable tandems, but we can’t deny that we’ve wondered what it’d be like to see our favorites from different dramas in one screen.
Now that we’re FINALLY getting to see Park Seo Joon and IU in one movie, what other pairings would you love to see on-screen? The people have spoken and here are their answers:
Park Seo Joon and Kim Go Eun
Suggested by: @katlinpeyyyy
Not gonna lie, Kim Go Eun’s starred with the likes of Gong Yoo and Lee Min Ho, so the thought of seeing her onscreen chemistry with Park Seo Joon definitely got as curious AF. We last saw PSJ in the 2020 drama Itaewon Class while KGE is currently starring in The King: Eternal Monarch.
Cha Eun Woo and Blackpink’s Jisoo
Suggested by: @mightynermzy
Here’s an idol pairing people would love to see in a K-drama! Both Astro’s Cha Eun Woo and Blackpink’s Jisoo have had their own share of acting experience. Eun Woo last starred in the 2019 K-drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung while Jisoo made a brief appearance in Arthdal Chronicles for her K-drama acting debut. She’s also starred in various music videos before debuting with Blackpink, so it’ll be interesting to see her star in her own drama.
Kim Kyung Nam and Lee Sung Kyung
Suggested by: @super.geerl
Kim Kyung Nam, who low-key charms viewers in The King: Eternal Monarch, has yet to play the lead in a drama. But what if he lands a leading role in the future, together with the super sweet and ultra talented Lee Sung Kyung of Dr. Romantic 2 and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo? Tbh, that would be really cool.
Kim Woo Bin and IU
Suggested by: @nica.illustrationsÂ
Before he starred in Uncontrollably Fond alongside Bae Suzy, we had a soft spot for Kim Woo Bin as the resident bad boy in The Heirs. IU, on the other hand, last wowed fans with her mind-blowing portrayal of short-tempered Jang Man Wol in Hotel del Luna, a role that earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards. How epic would it be to see them in one drama portraying characters with strong personalities?
Gong Yoo and Jun Ji Hyun
Suggested by: @in_a_relationship_withcoffee
You can say Jun Ji Hyun is one of the top Hallyu celebs after starring in highly-rated K-dramas—alongside Kim Soo Hyun in My Love From The Star and Lee Min Ho in Legend Of The Blue Sea. It’s only fitting that we see her together on-screen with Gong Yoo, another top Hallyu star, right?
Yook Sungjae and IU
Suggested by: @katlinpeyyyy
BtoB’s Sungjae not only slays in the vocal department, he’s also proven he’s got acting shops. His most recent K-drama is Mystic Pop-up Bar which is currently airing on Netflix. There’s no question that IU, also a vocal queen who most recently dropped her iconic collab with BTS’ Suga, has her own set of acting skills to show for. It’ll be the icing on top if they also sang together for an OST.
Song Hye Kyo and Jung Hae In
Suggested by: @scherbatskyjr
We’re dying to see Song Hye Kyo in a drama again after her last K-drama stint in Encounter with Park Bo Gum. This time, it’d be nice to see her alongside another sweet-faced actor like Jung Hae In, who’s currently starring in A Piece Of Your Mind.
Park Seo Joon and Bae Suzy
Suggested by: @katlinpeyyyy
No one can resist the charms of Park Seo Joon and Bae Suzy’s got that lovable aura about her. Together, they’d probably make hearts flutter if they ever starred in one K-drama.
Doh Kyung Soo and IU
Suggested by: @joseyaaa
Aside from being a full-time idol, EXO’s D.O. aka Doh Kyung Soo also has what it takes to make it in the acting side of the industry. He’s been in a couple of films and dramas, and now people are curious to see him act alongside IU. Fun fact: IU’s actually starred with a different EXO member—EXO’s Baekhyun was also a cast member of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo together with IU, Kang Ha Neul, and Lee Joong Gi.
Gong Yoo and Son Ye Jin
Suggested by: @p.leaaaaa
Goblin and Crash Landing On You are fan-favorite K-dramas so it’s only right to petition a Gong Yoo X Son Ye Jin tandem, don’t you think?
