Jung Ho Yeon is ready to take over Hollywood! After winning a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance in Squid Game and landing a role in the Apple TV+ series Disclaimer, the actress adds yet another title to her overseas portfolio, the thriller film The Governesses.

Marking Ho Yeon’s film debut, the project is based on the novella of the same name by French writer Anna Serre. As per Deadline, the story centers on three rebellious governesses “who upend the household they work in—inspiriting the minds of the boys in their care, igniting the imaginations of the bohemian couple who employ them and abandoning their charges for erotic adventures.”

American actress Lily-Rose Depp and The Worst Person in the World star Renate Reinsve will be joining Ho Yeon to close out the main trio. Meanwhile, Joe Talbot, director of the multi-awarded Sundance movie The Last Black Man in San Francisco, is directing the A24 and BBC-financed motion picture.

There’s no official word yet on when the movie will premiere, so while you wait for it and her Apple TV+ series to drop, make sure to catch Ho Yeon on The Weeknd’s latest music video, Out of Time.
