Exposed to various types of sports at a young age, Juliana Gomez is an all-around athlete who knows football, volleyball, and fencing. We guess it runs in their genes as Juliana won a gold medal from the 2022 Air Force Open Fencing Championship last November 26!
ICYDK, her dad Richard Gomez was a former member of the national team in fencing, where he bagged gold medals during the 2005 Southeast Asian Games and the 2015 Asian Master Fencing Championship. Juliana trains under the Philippine Fencing Association, where her father is the current President.
Richard posted an Instagram reel of her daughter with the caption, “Congratulations @gomezjuliana for winning the Thailand Open Fencing Championship today. May you keep on winning and bring more honor to the country.”

Her BFF, Claudia Barretto, also didn’t let the opportunity pass and congratulated her on Instagram. She wrote, “OUR QUEEN our champion @gomezjuliana.”
Aww, friendship goals! Fun fact: These two have always been showing their support for each other since they were childhood friends and football buddies!
While pursuing fencing, Juliana is also studying Public Administration at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
