Julia Barretto has been in the spotlight for as long as we can remember. Born in the beautiful Barretto clan, Julia is the daughter of actress Marjorie Barretto and comedian Dennis Padilla. She is also the niece of fashion icon Gretchen Barretto and '90s primetime princess Claudine Barretto.

Being under the limelight since she was born, one can easily think that fame can easily get in her head, but the young star keeps herself grounded. Read on to find out how she does it.

1. Julia is aware that her last name gives her a headstart in the biz, but she doesn't allow this knowledge to take her work for granted. She works just as hard, even harder, than actresses her age and perseveres to offer audiences more than what's expected of her.

"I’ve always looked up to my parents and my aunts in terms of how to succeed in this business, but I’ve also wanted to show people who I am and what I can do. This is why I’ve been working so hard."

2. At a young age, Julia knows that she cannot please everyone. She is aware of her detractors and haters—especially online. But even when she gets random and sometimes baseless attacks and controversies, she keeps her chin up by focusing instead on her blessings and her loved ones.

“Separate naman ang personal life and work life ko, and with so many doors opening for me, it’s only the blessings that matter. There are so many things to be thankful for, and hindi ko na iniisip ang mga issues. I am thankful for all the opportunities, the people who have helped make them possible, and the fans that go out of their way to show their support. Focusing on these things allows me to brush off any controversies.”

3. Julia knows what she stands for, and only accepts endorsements that she believes in and means something to herlike Palmolive. The brand has been a part of her life for so long. She even bagged her first endorsement at age 10 for Palmolive's teen line of shampoo and conditioner, Palmolive Fashion Girl!

"It was just a really fun experience," she says, "I was super excited because I’ve been using Palmolive ever since and I’ve always admired the Palmolive girls."

Endorsing the brand is a dream come true for this young girl, as Palmolive has been beside her while growing up.
