Everyone of us will agree that quarantine brought a lot of stress, in despair and heartaches at some point. But how can we cope up with it? I believe that we all love cookies, right? We never go wrong when we have a pack of it but do you know that it could be an inspiration to actually have a better perspective in life? It is made by David Goggins who was part of the US Navy before.
This perspective makes you think of all the good things that happened in your life, small or big, simple or extravagant as long as it impacted your life for real. Jot it down. Put it on your notes, paper, or journal. Make sure to list down everything that helped you in a way to cope. Afterwards, this will serve as your jar. A jar where you look up on when you need some inspiration. A jar that will make you remember the great things that you were able to achieve.
This will be a reminder of everything that you've been through and what you are experiencing right now will result as well to a better one soon. Let us all save a lot of cookies on this non-fat, anti-sugar kind of cookies that will surely help not only our body but our whole being.
I guess, for us to grow, we have to face our fears and embrace our nightmares. Turning it into a dream and making it into a reality. Like even the black, white, and gray are colors too. Dark or plain color can highlight the canvas so that the colorful ones will dominate. Without that darkness, how could you define the vibrant ones? Maybe, things may not go our way, but in His way a bright future is waiting for us. Let's just keep walking until we reach that destination. Until that hidden gift will be discovered by the only person who is designed to have it, for a long time. And that is YOU. The gift that is supposed to be opened and to be a blessing for everyone. Let us be a living testimony using that Crayola in our own story.
Doing my hair is always such a pick-me-up in self-isolation! Watch till the end to hear my thoughts about self-quarantine for nearly half a year now (despite the de-escalation of lockdown in Spain where I study). I recently read about how my country, the Philippines, is back to MECQ, and we’re all shut into our homes once again. I hope we can observe this period with more calm and patience whilst maintaining our awareness of the outside world in order to prepare ourselves to take the necessary actions and precautions once we all bounce back into it. Take it from a young adult who actually chooses to stay home without the need of lockdown but at the same time, is absolutely itching to explore and experience more of what the world has to offer (the reason why I chose to study Fashion Business abroad in the first place)... Hope everyone hangs in there, even if we’re all hanging by the hair. Keep in the faith. ????
Aside from my workout routine (five times a week), meal prep also takes up so much of my time, every day. Having a healthy lifestyle is addicting. I get up, I medidate, I workout, I prep my meal. Most of the items in my grocery list consist of fruits and vegetables that are easy to cook or no need to cook. These oatmeal bowls are topped with sliced banana, kiwi, mango and granola. These fruits are just sweet enough for my sweet tooth. Since the pandemic started last March up to the present, I was able to go out three times only and was able to dine-in at restaurants. Staying at home is the safest thing to do right now. I can say it’s the best thing because I get to save some bucks. I am happy prepping my healthy meals but NGL that I just can’t give up my love for bread and pastries. If I say diet, it doesn’t mean restriction, but instead it means moderation. And don’t forget to drink lots of water.
For the past few months in quarantine, I tried to discover and do things at home such as cooking, watching shows on Netflix, revamping my room and study area, cutting my own hair and more. But recently I did something that I was so hesitant of doing before which is coloring my virgin hair (for the very first time obviously). I thought why not try color my hair during the quarantine since at least if I fail or if the color won't turn out well, I know that no one will be seeing me for the next few months LOL HAHAHA but I think it turned out pretty well. I actually used the Mise en Scène Hello Bubble Foam Color and used the shade Primer. If you wanna know and see how my hair turned out you could check out the full video on my Youtube Channel.
