There's no denying that Joshua Garcia is one of the biggest stars of his generation, but before he reached his level of fame, he was also ~*just like us*~. Case in point: An old photo of him from a sagala procession recently went viral.
The photo was posted by Reina Carisse Forteza-Abrigonda, who had Joshua as her partner in the procession in Batangas at the time.Â
"Kung alam ko lang na sisikat ka, sana pala sumagala na tayo simula Batangas City hanggang Mabini," she captioned the throwback photo. LOL!
According to Reina's interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital, the photo was taken back in 2012 during their fiesta in San Roque, Bauan, Batangas. Joshua was around 14 years old at the time. Aww!
She shared that she didn't know him at the time and that she wasn't even planning on having an escort in the sagala. "Then may nagtanong lang po sa mother ko na kung okay lang daw po ba na may escort ako, pumayag naman po mother ko," she revealed.
"Hindi ko lang in-expect na ang pogi ng escort. Mas napansin pa talaga si Joshua Garcia kaysa sa akin nung naglalakad kami."
A few years after the photo was taken, Reina eventually graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering at the Batangas State University. Meanwhile, Joshua became one of the 19 housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: All In.
As of writing, the post currently has over 185,000 reactions and 47,000 shares.
Naturally, the comment section of the photo was flooded with various reactions from netizens. Some of them noted his resemblance to Zaijian Jaranilla, while others resorted to ~humor~ to cope, LOL!
Some netizens also shared their *own* sagala pictures with Joshua in the comment section (who was donning the same attire too, no less), proving that he was a hit even back then. He definitely had that ~star quality~ even as a younger teen!
