ICYMI, whispers of a brewing romance circulated like wildfire on social media last night, shortly after the two seemingly *hard-launched* their relationship on Instagram. Some even went back to the controversy that broke last 2020, when Issa was accused of being the third party in James’ infamous breakup with Nadine Lustre—albeit both camps vehemently denied it in their separate statements. “Time is the ultimate truth-teller,” cried legions of Nadine and James’ fans, who didn’t take the couple’s unofficial confirmation of their dating status with a light heart.
On his Instagram stories, James took it upon himself to clear the air and address the rumors once and for all. He wrote, “I’m only gonna say this once. The past rumors about Issa are just that, rumors.”
“I usually NEVER address bashers or get involved in hate culture but I feel the need to speak up now because this is the start of something beautiful. And I’m not gonna let anyone take that from me.
“All you need to know from me is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” he concluded, seemingly making things official with his new beau.
Aside from James’ statement, we haven’t heard from Issa or Nadine about the issue. But if their social media accounts are of any indication, it looks like all is well between the two—who are still on each other’s follower list.Â
