Hey Monday Prom

Hey Monday is Cassadee Pope on lead vocals, Jersey Moriarty on bass guitar, Mike Gentile on lead guitar, Alex Lipshaw on rhythm guitar, Elliot James on drums, and Bobby Nolan on keyboard. Their debut album hold On Tight is a joint venture between Columbia Records and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's Decaydence Records. We sat down with Cassadee, Jersey, Mike, Alex, and Elliot and found out what their prom experience was like.

Cassadee: Mine was just kind of normal. Went to prom, hung out with friends, and then went back to the hotel with friends. I was excited for prom but I wasn't that into it. I just knew I had to experience it. Because everything in the band was happening... so I was like, I have to go to prom just to say I went. It was fun!

Elliot: My date's dad rented us a really nice Porsche. We all went to dinner and there was a peacock there. When we came out, it had scratched the whole car. I guess maybe they see themselves, their reflection.

Jersey: I actually skipped out on my prom to play a show with one of my old bands. I'm not much of a dancer.

Alex: I went with my girlfriend at the time and all of her rich friends. We had a really nice hotel room at Palm Beach. We had this huge bus take us. It was kind of crazy.

Mike: My prom was kind of a normal prom story. Went to prom, after-prom parties, and all that fun stuff. We just had a good time.
