Stay true to your passion.
Don't accept the Running Man Challenge just because everyone else is doing it. Stick with what interests you, and #OwnIt. Love food? Then show the world how you whip up your delish lava cake. Into spoken word poetry? Then perform your best piece with hugot a la Juan Miguel Severo.
Think outside the box.
Surprise the audience by doing something out of the ordinary (without compromising your passion, of course). If finding shopping hauls is your thing, why not feature the old vinyls you scored from your favorite record store or your ukay-ukay finds from Baguio? Always take things up a notch to keep your viewers interested.
Make quality videos.
No one has the patience to watch poor quality videos anymore, so invest in a decent camera or borrow one from a friend. Also keep video effects and filters to a minimum so as not to distract your audience. Just keep it simple, and let your video’s content speak for itself.
Be on the lookout for opportunities.
Collaborate with fellow YouTubers, and try your luck at different competitions. Both are great ways to expand your contacts and expose yourself to bigger audiences.

In partnership with YouTube, Smart unveils the Smart Launchpad, a program that helps budding content creators upload their works on YouTube and broadcast it to the world via Upload Stations all over the country. From July to September, different schools and SM Malls will be home to these Upload Stations, where participants can shoot their entries using Samsung gadgets and upload them real time through Smart's fast internet connection.
The first Upload Station was launched last July 23-24 at The Atrium, SM Megamall. YouTube sensations Michael Josh Villanueva of GadgetMatch and Bogart the Explorer were there to encourage everyone, especially the youth, to share their talents and channel their creativity.
Selected content creators will be chosen to participate in Launchpad Workshops, which will be facilitated by industry professionals and online stars. The top three participants will be sent to Los Angeles to collaborate with top YouTube stars and will win exciting gadgets from Samsung.
