If you've never been to a musical, maybe it's time you made your theatrical debut—in the audience at least. Making its Philippine debut this July, Disney's Newsies was originally staged on Broadway by Disney Theatrical Productions back in 2012. The smash hit musical was inspired by the 1992 film of the same title, based on the real-life story of 1899 Newsboys Strike in New York City.

We spotted a familiar face while looking at the local cast of Newsies. Candy Cutie Alex Diaz will be part of the 9 Works Theatrical and Globe Live production.

Opening weekend is on July 7-9 so better get your tickets if you want to catch this show. It runs till July 30.

And if you enjoy the show, you might want to mark these dates on your calendar for more musical theater fun!
