  1. Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 6)

We got a sneak peek of Spider-Man teaming up with the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War last year—now it’s time to explore a new ship, specifically that of Peter Parker and his new father figure-slash-mentor, Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. It’s something we’ve never seen onscreen before, not in the first two Spider-Man franchises. Peter Holland, the adorable actor who plays Peter Parker, says, “Peter’s trying to prove himself to Tony that he is old and wise enough to take on bigger tasks, but Tony keeps putting him down and telling him he isn’t ready yet. I think that’s what really drives Peter to possibly go down the wrong path, before he figures it out, and we see why Peter Parker is the most beloved and powerful superhero of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

  1. Bloody Crayons (July 12)

This isn't your regular feel-good teen movie: What is supposed to be a fun, out-of-town barkada trip takes a turn for the worse when they play the game Bloody Crayons. (This is why we should stick to board games, people!) It stars your favorite actors such as Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Yves Flores, and Ronnie Alonte.

  1. War for the Planet of the Apes (July 12)

How does a war last for years, decades, generations even? As we saw in the previous films in the Planet of the Apes series, the fighting begins with a lack of communication and compromise, and is sustained by betrayals, pride on both sides, and a kill-or-be-killed mentality. War for the Planet of the Apes finds Caesar, leader of the apes, on a quest to avenge their losses and win the war once and for all.

  1. Kita Kita (July 19)

They say love is blind, but we bet you haven’t seen a movie quite like this. Starring Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy (in his first leading role!), Kita Kita is a sweet, funny, unconventional love story with a twist too cute to spoil.

  1. Dunkirk (July 20)

If it's wrong to be excited for Dunkirk because of Harry Styles, then we don't want to be right. No but seriously, Hazza's film debut couldn’t be any more prestigious: The war drama is directed and written by no other than Christopher Nolan and stars members of the Nolan A-team such as Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy. We'll have to watch the movie to find out how big Harry's part is, but we do know that he booked the role because he's got skills. The director tells LA Times, "For the guys on the beach, we really wanted young unknowns. (Harry) is not that unknown, but he'd never done anything as an actor before. So he auditioned. I auditioned literally thousands of young men with different combinations of young men. And he had it."

  1. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (July 21)

Cara Delevingne returns to the big screen in this sci-fi adventure based on the French comic series Valérian and Laureline. She plays Laureline, one-half of the space-and-time-traveling tandem who are tasked to find the dark force causing trouble in Alpha, the home of species from a thousand planets. Cara shares the screen with familiar faces such as Dane DeHaan, who plays her partner in (solving) crime, and Rihanna, a shape-shifting entertainer (but of course!).

  1. Cars 3 (July 26)

Can an old car be taught new tricks? That’s the dilemma of Lightning McQueen, who must keep up with a new generation of sleek, aerodynamic, record-setting racers. After being in the game for more than a decade, he must learn not to race faster, but race smarter.
