Content creation as a career choice is no joke. What most people don't know is that a lot of thought and effort go into making a single video or even an Insta post. Many of this generation's top influencers are also full-time students, so you can just imagine how hectic their schedules can be.
Still, this doesn't deter these digital creators from exploring other ventures, including launching their very own businesses. In fact, a handful of Gen Z YouTubers are also business-minded, carrying the title and responsibilities of a "business owner" on top of their other daily duties.
Curious? Here are eight Gen Z YouTubers and the businesses they launched:
Claudine Co
YouTuber and recording artist Claudine Co is on her way to becoming a multihyphenate. Apart from creating content and making music, she's also now an entrepreneur. Claudine co-owns a new restaurant called Jacob's Wing Bistro which recently opened a branch in Albay, Bicol in March 2022.
Chelsea Valencia
Gen Z content creator and Marketing major Chelsea Valencia made her dream business a reality when she launched her clothing brand OAK LA VIE. On what the name means, Chelsea shares that OAK stands for "one of a kind," while la vie is French for "the life," which together means "the one of a kind life." So far, the brand offers aesthetic tees, tote bags, and dad caps.
Hazel Quing
On top of producing top-tier content on YouTube and co-owning lifestyle brand The Lula Club, Hazel Quing is also the owner of the Maginhawa branch of 11:11, together with her mom Haidee Quing. Hazel is also pretty hands-on with managing the business, and even tried her hand at making the drinks they serve herself.
Chelseah Hilary
Now a full-fledged content creator herself, Chelseah Hilary (aka the sister of internet royalties Ranz and Niana), also doubles as a business woman. Chelseah co-owns clothing line Revel as well as Kenny Beans Cafe which currently has two branches (and counting!).
Alliana Dolina
Thomasian YouTube Alliana Dolina recently launched 25th Gallery, a clothing line she co-owns with her friends. 25th Gallery carries "elevated basics that can be worn every day," which is also what we would use to describe Alliana's personal style! Currently, the line offers basic tank tops and handy tote bags, but we can't wait to see more of their upcoming releases.
Gwy Saludes
YouTuber and Wattpad author Gwy Saludes has such a growing and loyal following that it's only a matter of time before she launches her own merch line. Gwy's line of merch (@gwymerch on Insta!) carries the cutest collections of stickers, graphic tees, and tote bags that feature her fandom names as well as other iconic things related to Gwy, such as her popular Wattpad series and the characters she wrote.
Princess and Nicole Torres
Sister YouTubers Princess and Nicole Torres are not only partners when it comes to content creation but also when it comes to business. The two launched their own beauty line called PN Beauty, which has a collection of budget-friendly liquid tints in six usable shades. Aside from the makeup line, the Torres sisters also have their own line of merch featuring personalized items like shirts and sticker packs.
